Foam cannon vs contact wash: what the foam does not tell you
A thick foam layer is one part of a process, not proof that a dirty car is ready to dry.

Foam is a delivery method
A foam cannon spreads a compatible solution over the body. The product, dilution, equipment and surface condition influence what happens next. A dramatic white layer in a video does not prove all traffic film has been removed. Read whether the product is designed as a pre-wash, a maintenance shampoo or another type of cleaner instead of deciding by foam thickness.
Let the label guide the contact step
Some soil needs more than a rinse. If the planned method includes a contact wash, use clean wash media, suitable lubrication and an organized sequence. Do not wipe residual grime with a drying towel because a foam rinse looked complete from a distance. Work on a cool surface and keep the solution from drying. Pay special attention to lower panels, using tools appropriate for the contamination.
Use equipment without chasing extremes
More pressure and stronger mixtures are not universal upgrades. Follow the pressure-washer, vehicle and chemical instructions, especially near seals, film edges, cameras and damaged paint. Keep the work area controlled and put the equipment away before checking the finished panel closely. A safe, repeatable wash matters more than reproducing someone else’s dramatic stream or foam pattern.
Know what you are booking
MDC’s wash description includes foam application followed by microfiber hand washing with a two-bucket system, rinsing and careful drying. Foam is part of that sequence; it is not marketed as a substitute for the rest. For DIY care, judge the outcome on clean dry paint and sensible effort. Compare processes on similar dirt levels before concluding that one piece of equipment transformed the result.
