Stoner Invisible Glass spray is a glass cleaner. Rain-X Original Glass Water Repellent is an exterior-glass treatment. They should not be ranked as though they perform the same task. Rain-X also sells cleaning products, so the precise bottle name matters. Start by deciding whether your problem is fingerprints and haze or whether you are considering a separate water-repellent layer.

What their instructions tell you

Stoner describes Invisible Glass spray as ammonia-free and suitable for tinted windows when used as directed. Rain-X Original instructs users to clean and dry the glass before treatment and then remove the resulting haze. Check the current label and any tint, film or vehicle restrictions. The cleaner’s role comes before evaluating a treatment; a protective layer should not be used to hide a dirty surface.

Evaluate the finished glass

Work in suitable conditions with clean towels and inspect after the surface is dry. Look through the glass from the driver’s normal position before driving. If there is smearing, resolve it rather than assuming the next rain will fix it. Follow wiper and treatment compatibility instructions, and avoid putting exterior-only products on interior screens or sensitive trim.

Choose the task, then the product

If all you need is clean glass, start with cleaning. If you want water repellency, evaluate a compatible treatment as a separate step.
